Introduction

The Devonport Library building features high ceilings and a mezzanine floor area, and the design incorporates a number of innovative features.

CS was contacted by Athfield Architects to deliver a solution for large sliding timber doors to close off a community room. Due to the size and weight of the doors required, there was a risk of timber doors bowing and warping, as well as being too heavy and difficult to operate.

The solution was to use our CS AluTec aluminium door as a substrate for cladding by De Bruin Judge. Our CS Heavy Duty Track System has been used to take the load of the 300kg+ doors, resulting in an easily operable, smooth rolling door system.

What the CS Says
"Our CS Heavy Duty Track System has been used to take the load of the 300kg+ doors, resulting in an easily operable, smooth rolling door system."
